Bicentennial Man (1999)

 

Bicentennial Man adalah film drama fiksi ilmiah Amerika (1999) yang dibintangi Robin Williams dan Sam Neill. Berdasarkan novel The Man Positronic, yang ditulis oleh Isaac Asimov dan Robert Silverberg dimana novel itu sendiri didasarkan pada novel asli Asimov berjudul The Man Bicentennial, plot mengeksplorasi isu-isu kemanusiaan, perbudakan, prasangka, kedewasaan, kebebasan intelektual, kesesuaian, seks, cinta, dan kematian. Film ini disutradarai oleh Chris Columbus.

Berikut ini adalah sedikit cuplikan cerita dari film tersebut:

Robot seri NDR yang kemudian diberi nama "Andrew" (Robin Williams) diperkenalkan pada tahun 2005 ke rumah keluarga Martin untuk melakukan tugas rumah tangga dan pemeliharaan. Reaksi keluarga tersebut jauh dari penerimaan, rasa ingin tahu sekaligus penolakan, serta perusakan yang disengaja oleh putri mereka yang lebih tua bermuka masam, Grace (Lindze Letherman), yang mengarah pada penemuan bahwa Andrew dapat baik mengidentifikasi emosi dan cara membalasnya. Ketika Andrew tidak sengaja merusak patung milik "Little Miss" Amanda (Hallie Kate Eisenberg), ia membuatkan ukiran patung dari kayu sebagai pengganti yang ia rusak. Keluarga itu heran dengan kreativitas ini dan "Tuan" Richard Martin (Sam Neill) membawa Andrew ke produsen, untuk menanyakan apakah semua robot seperti dia. CEO perusahaan melihat perkembangan ini sebagai masalah dan berkeinginan untuk membongkar Andrew. Marah, Martin membawa pulang Andrew dan membiarkan dia untuk mengejar pembangunan sendiri, mendorong Andrew untuk mendidik dirinya dalam kemanusiaan.

Puss In Boots (2011)

Hampir setengah hidupnya Puss (Antonio Banderas) mencari telur emas yang konon tersembunyi di sebuah kastil di atas awan.
